What Men & Women Are Saying

I once went through a very difficult time in my life – around 2008. Basically had a full blown physical and psychological health collapse as a result of pushing too hard without expected reward. I had no clue what I was doing to myself. Anyway, it was the hardest time in my life, and I wish I had this book back then. This book is steeped in the Christian teaching, and it can prove a life-saving and/or soul-saving gift. The author really cares because he’d gone through a crisis of his own – and it’s in the aftermath of such crises that a man begins to feel the call to help others. Throughout the book, I felt a deep sense of trust that he not only knows what he is talking about but feels a deep purpose to help other men. Subjects covered are getting in touch with your true purpose, not working yourself to death, honoring blessings, and embracing some good old values that don’t get old. If you’re going through a difficult time, if you yearn for a deeper connection with G-d or other people, if you feel something is missing, I’d recommend you pick up this book. It is easy to read and absorb – the author shows no pretense. And I think you’ll like and even be tempted to take some of the action steps included therein. Recommended from my heart.

I really liked this book because it speaks directly and without sugarcoating about something many men go through but rarely admit: the cost of “winning” professionally while slowly losing our health, peace, and sometimes even our family. I’ve been there myself. What I value most is that the author doesn’t write from theory, but from personal experience. It’s not a long or complicated book, yet it leaves you seriously reflecting on yourpriorities. Several phrases and reminders stayed with me, but above all the idea that true success isn’t measured by numbers or applause, it’s about being present where it truly matters. I also enjoyed the chapter “Building aTable That Lasts.” Highly recommended, especially for those looking for an honest, spiritually grounded guide.

Waikiki Paulino’s Win Without Losing What Matters Most is a bold, faith-rooted call to men who are silently drowning in success. With raw honesty and brotherly wisdom, Paulino challenges the hustle culture and redefines what it truly means to “win.” This is of course a motivational book. But what is more important is that it’s a survival manual for high performers seeking purpose, peace, and presence. Through biblical insights and practical action steps, it offers a powerful roadmap for men to lead their homes, protect their health, and reclaim their souls. A must-read for any man ready to stop pretending and start living without regret.

If you’re in leadership or just a man looking to power up, this is a must read. The book covers what leadership looks like from a biblical perspective and it gives you the tools that every man needs to understand what’s really important and what winning looks like within His kingdom.

Not just a blueprint but a revelation to all men who face the same cultural demands and show up and win each day.

Dares to ask men to reflect and do an honest inventory of how they lead their homes and ask themselves, is any of what they build for a purpose? And at what cost?

Will it cost you your wives, children, peace, community, family, or relationships? Is it really “winning” when it’s survival disguised as winning?

Rich with reflection points and questions, this book fosters honest discussion and introspection, inviting men to discover and work at their true leadership roles. I highly recommend reading along in a small group or having a trusted friend that can hold you accountable as you reflect on each chapter.

Having worked with the author, I know him as a man of faith, energetic, problem solving, entrepreneurial, family man. That is exactly what comes across in his book. With this book he has reminded us all that there are far more important things than being a captain of industry. Most importantly, it shows us how to get on the right path. He does this with relevant scripture as well as checklists. This book is a great reminder of the most important things in life- Faith, Family & Friends.

This is a priceless reminder of what is truly valuable in life. Jammed with real life circumstance and gut checking reflection. You can’t help walking away without asking yourself – Am I the man God created me to be? Am I the man my family needs me to be? Is the source of my joy, eternal and enduring? Is it worth wasting another moment and wasting another breath of energy for what doesn’t matter in life?

Thank you my brother for the very excellent reminder and for sharing your journey, your heart, your pain, your joy, and your tears, with all of us. We love you for it Kiki.

This book was very well written and I learned several important lessons such as Success with out peace is still failure. Do not wear yourself out to get rich. Do not trust your cleverness . Proverbs 23 4. Presence does not need to be perfect it does need to be real. Men do not burn out from being weak but burn out from trying to be strong too long without rest help or honesty. There is a difference between pressure and purpose one drains you and other drives you. Guilt does not coach you it condemns you. THIS IS DEFINETELY A MUST READ!!!

“Win Without Losing What Matters Most” is more than just a book—it’s a wake-up call for husbands, fathers, and men striving to balance their ambition with the relationships and faith that truly matter.

In a culture that glorifies hustle and constant achievement, this book speaks directly to the man who looks successful on the outside but feels empty, disconnected, or overwhelmed on the inside. The author does a phenomenal job addressing deep struggles that many men face but rarely talk about—exhaustion, isolation, misplaced priorities, and even the silent pressure to “always be enough.”

I believe every husband and father needs to read this. It’s not just about helping men thrive—it’s about helping families heal, reconnect, and flourish together.

If you’ve ever wished your husband would slow down, be more present, or feel more fulfilled, this book can be life-changing. It will open his eyes to a better way of living, and honestly, it may even strengthen your marriage in the process.

This book provides a solid challenge for men to maintain balance in their life between winning in the professional world, while winning at home. The author keeps it simple and direct making the book an easy read. While it will convict readers who are out of balance in their life, it will provide direction on how to get that balance back in your life. Since it is not a long book, it’s a great read for the man with limited time to sit and digest a big book. I highly recommend it.

This is an incredibly personal yet relatable read! It not only brings you to some honest questions you may have never asked yourself, it walks you through a process of discovery and repair in a Biblically principled way. Focussing on God’s idea of the winner you were created to be instead of the worldly tower we think we are building. Powerful, useful stuff for those that have ears to hear. Enjoy and be blessed!

The author of this book truly made it a priority to delve deep into topics that successful men are too afraid to think, and even less, speak about. It is centered around the Word and uses biblical foundation to back up each claim.

I would say this is a must read not only for men of all ages and from all backgrounds, but also for women who desire to understand the struggles the men whom we love the most, face every single day.

I truly recommend! Thank you Waikiki Paulino for a book that will impact the generations to come.

A captivating read that looks at how to win the war of finances, faith, family and fitness. Highly recommended for any man who leads businesses and is looking for a way to win in multiple dimensions of life. Not your typical self help book, but actual wisdom and actionable maps that take ideas and make them real.

As a daughter, this book hit home for me. What we remember most isn’t the money or the things, it’s the moments when our dads are truly present. Every father needs to read this. It’s a reminder that love and presence are the real legacy.
